SUMMARY:Nature’s Hybrids: Ceramic sculpture by Denise Romecki
DESCRIPTION:Denise Romecki creates nature oriented ceramic sculptures.
Her works portray her concerns regarding ever-growing human involveme
nt within nature. In an effort to further communicate her message, the
artist focused on creating a higher degree of realism in her artwork.
She has since observed animals at the Columbus Zoo and other conserva
tions to enhance her animal imagery. Her pieces range in size from 26
inches to five feet. Romecki received a BFA from Columbus College of A
rt & Design and a MFA from The Ohio State University. She has been
displaying her work since 1978 and has participated in various nation
al and international shows. Exhibition hours are Tues., 10am-7pm; Wed.
