Dublin, OH -- October 23rd, 2008 -- Generation Green announces the grand opening of their first store. Located in Dublin at the intersection of 161 & Sawmill Rd, in the Trader Joe’s Plaza, the store was designed to help consumers easily implement environmental choices into all aspects of their lives. Dubbed as an eco-lifestyle store with a flair for design, Generation Green carries a wide variety of environmentally friendly products for your home and self in a specialty store setting.
Generation Green provides the latest in eco-friendly products, while supporting fair trade practices and local vendors whenever possible. “After becoming personally frustrated with having very little local access to eco-friendly products, and tiring of buying online, my wife and I decided our community had a real need for a store like Generation Green,” said Co-Owner, Steve Johnson. Product categories vary widely to include products from personal care, to home accessories, to children’s apparel, to lawn and garden, to jewelry & handbags, and even solar chargers. You can expect to find items for everyday use, along with an assortment of otherwise hard to find, unique “green” gifts. Already, customers have included a vast variety of people, including Europeans, West & East Coasters, along with native Central Ohioans who all tell us, “Thank You! Finally a store like this has come to Columbus , Ohio !”

- Owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Generation Green is a privately owned retail store, located in Dublin , OH and founded in 2008. Both Steve and Heather Johnson graduated with their bachelor degrees from Kent State University . Steve’s coursework focused on environmentally related studies, while Heather’s degree is in Fashion Merchandising, with a minor in Business Management. The trade that satisfies certain position on the supply chain of the goods products involved, among fair payment for producers; with social & environmental considerations to distribute such type of eco friendly Sustainable gifts products made by local workers based on their paid living wages . . there above related to fair trade is to teach the visitors about it

    Dublin history lesson

    Peter and Benjamin Sells came to the area around 1801 from Huntington County, Pa., to buy land. Old Dublin was first platted in 1810 by their brother, John. Surveyor John Shields named the town after his birthplace in Ireland. The town developed the usual assortment of mills, shops and churches, with settlers coexisting peacefully with Wyandot Indians, who camped on Indian Run. The town gained notoriety in the mid-19th century, when a surplus of taverns and rowdy Civil War veterans gave the village a tough reputation. Columbus' growth and the construction of I-270 made expansion inevitable. Dublin achieved city status in 1987.
