Great to hear I have new amgio's to this fascinating hobby. With you and your wife both birders, could I talk to you about maybe monitoring some bluebird boxes in one of the Dublin Parks? The program is being revamped and we need monitors. Mimi Migliore and Christine Nardeccia and I have been working on this project. Flying Blue in Dublin...I started the trails here about 20 years ago. Let me know what parks are near you and I can give you more info.

Nice to know you might cros paths out on the 'birding trail'.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, what an amazing site when the swifts are staging. Are you a birder? : ) Adds depth to a trek-ie...I'm looking for some help with my Christmas Bird Count in NW Dublin this Sat. Jan 3. Email me if you are interested to learn more. I just got back from a birding vacation in TX and have about 25 new species of birds. Great time and a lot warmer than here! Hope to meet again...

Hi Jeff, I definitely know Mark Storey. I worked with a Jeff Young at BISYS, but not the same, right? I know of ISPI, but not sure I've attended a meeting. Anyway hello!

Do you think the entire "Enterprise" series was all a simulation on the Holodeck?

I agree - and mission accomplished - I invited the entire class. :)
Have a great Monday.

What's your favorite Star Trek episode? Mine is "The City On the Edge Of Forever" (the one where Kirk has to let Joan Collins' character die or history will change). That storyline twist was brilliant.

    Dublin history lesson

Peter and Benjamin Sells came to the area around 1801 from Huntington County, Pa., to buy land. Old Dublin was first platted in 1810 by their brother, John. Surveyor John Shields named the town after his birthplace in Ireland. The town developed the usual assortment of mills, shops and churches, with settlers coexisting peacefully with Wyandot Indians, who camped on Indian Run. The town gained notoriety in the mid-19th century, when a surplus of taverns and rowdy Civil War veterans gave the village a tough reputation. Columbus' growth and the construction of I-270 made expansion inevitable. Dublin achieved city status in 1987.
